Type Locality and Naming
The type section lies 80 km southeast of Batang, Sichuan Province, from Baxiang Mt. to the top slope in Zhongzan Cattle Farm. It was named by the No. 3 Regional Geological Survey Party of Sichuan Bureau of Geology in 1972.
Lithology and Thickness
Limestone. Dominated by light-gray massive fine-grained to oolitic limestone, the bottom is composed of laterite-colored bioclastic limestone. 353.5 m thick.
